About
Collection is a browser home for real spaces and objects you can open and look around.
What this is
Collection is a place to open real rooms, buildings, and objects in your browser and look around them. Each item is a 3D capture made of millions of tiny colored blobs (“Gaussian splats”), so it looks like a photograph you can move through — not a flat video.
How to use it
Pick a scan from the gallery. Drag to look around. Scroll to zoom. On a phone, use one finger to turn and a pinch to zoom. When a scan is open, the sidebar lets you browse the library, change settings, or go back to the full collection.
Who made it
Collection is built by Studio Asymetric — design and technology for real places. Live site: scans.asymetric.studio.
How the 3D works
Scans are stored as .sog or streamed .ssog files and drawn with the PlayCanvas engine. The viewer watches how hard your device is working and gently lowers detail if needed, so motion stays smooth. Still views stop drawing so the rest of the page can breathe.
